2006 Toyota Sequoia Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the rear Wheel Stud on 2006 Toyota Sequoia?
A: The repair starts by removing the rear wheel followed by taking off the rear disc brake cylinder assembly through the process of breaking the 2 bolts which secure the brake components. Lock the brake caliper securely during this step. Secondly you should take out the rear wheel stud from its position. New hub bolts come with washers and nuts to install them and you must apply torque to the nut as you use a brass bar to maintain the axle shaft stability. Reattach the rear disc brake cylinder assembly to its place using the 2 bolts that secure the brake caliper and disc while torquing them to 105 Nm (1,070 kgf-cm, 77 ft. lbs.). Screw the rear wheel by torquing it to 110 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.).
