2007 Toyota Sequoia Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to replace the Front Wheel Stud on 2007 Toyota Sequoia?
A: The First Step to replace the Front Wheel Stud requires removal of the front wheel followed by disc brake cylinder assembly disassembly through bolt removal from the steering knuckle combined with brake line clamp removal. Then secure the brake caliper before taking off the 2 caliper and disc securing bolts. The Front Wheel Stud extraction process requires both Special Service Tool: 09650-17011 and a screwdriver or suitable alternative. Place a washer and nut on a new hub bolt according to the illustration before securing it with a screwdriver-type tool for nut torque application followed by washer and nut removal. Use the new brake cylinder assembly to install the brake disc together with the caliper and tighten the 2 bolts to 123 Nm (1,250 kgf-cm, 90 ft. lbs.). After that, apply the 28 Nm (285 kgf-cm, 21 ft. lbs.) torque to the brake line clamp bolt while it gets secured against the steering knuckle. After reattaching the front wheel the technician needs to torque it to 110 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.) before performing several brake depressions.
