How to replace the water pump on 2006 Toyota Matrix?

The first step to replace a water pump includes taking out the engine under cover RH then draining the engine coolant. The sequence starts with removing the fan and generator V belt before progressing to generator assembly removal. Begin the water pump assembly removal through bolt extraction of six pieces before pulling out the pump itself while also taking out the O-ring from the timing chain cover. The water pump requires new O-rings in the timing chain cover before installing it using 6 bolts with A bolt receiving 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 inch lbs.) and bolt B needing 11 Nm (112 kgf-cm, 8 ft. lbs.). Reinstall the generator assembly then add engine coolant and inspect for possible engine coolant leakage.
