How to replace the Side Air Bag Sensor Assy LH on 2006 Toyota 4Runner?

A technician must observe Air Bag Systems service precautions before disconnecting the battery negative terminal as the first step to replace the Side Air Bag Sensor Assy LH. First detach the LH front door scuff plate followed by the rear door scuff plate LH, the front door opening trim Weather Strip LH, the rear door opening trim Weather Strip LH and finally the lap belt outer anchor cover, center pillar garnish lower LH and front seat outer belt assembly LH. The second step involves removing the side air bag sensor assembly LH through two nut uninstallation and connector detachment. Secure the side air bag sensor assembly LH by connecting its side Air Bag sensor connector then fastening with 2 nuts achieving 17.5 N.m (178 kgf.cm, 13 ft.lbf) torque. The sensor assembly needs replacement with a new one whenever it experiences a drop or shows any dysfunctional elements. The SRS wiring must be positioned to avoid assembly interference and must be free from pinching during installation while sensor assembly looseness can be checked through post-installation sensor shaking. Install the front seat outer belt assembly LH by using 7.5 N.m (76 kgf.cm, 66 in.lbf) when tightening the upper bolt along with 42 N.m (420 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) for the lower bolt. The SRS warning light needs final inspection for any warning indications.
