First remove the back door trim board assembly then detach the rear wiper arm after opening the cover and unfastening the nut. You should disconnect the connector followed by the removal of three bolts to extract the rear wiper motor assembly. The wiper motor assembly should be attached through three bolts then torqued to 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) before reconnecting the connector. To install the wiper arm position the wiper until it stops at the automatic stop point then file off one side of the fragmentated component followed by wire brushing the wiper pivot while securing the wiper arm with a nut that has a torque of 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf) at which time the arm hinge needs manual maintenance. The procedure requires reinstallation of back door trim board assembly followed by cable connection to the negative battery terminal before system initialization because some systems need battery cable disconnection and reconnection.
