The servicing process of the back door requires removal of the back door trim board assembly after which the back door lock assembly needs to be taken out. The service procedure includes installing the back door lock assembly followed by the back door trim board assembly and ending with reattaching the cable to the negative battery terminal. System initialization must be performed afterward because some systems need this procedure when disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative battery termination point.
