How to remove and install the front Seat Belt assembly on the LH side on 2006 Scion tC?

The first step to disassemble the front seat outer belt assembly on the LH side requires disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable followed by waiting 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation. The installation process begins after removal of the rear seat cushion assembly followed by the rear seatback assembly LH and front door scuff plate LH as well as side No. 1 trim assembly LH and center pillar garnish LH. Partially disconnect the pretensioner connector while you remove the bolt joined to the floor anchor and the 3 bolts secured to the outer belt assembly. To install the front seat outer belt assembly LH use the 3 bolts while torquing bolt A to 4.9 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 43 in.lbf) and bolt B to 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf). Reconnect the pretensioner connector after installing the floor anchor with bolt C that meets 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) torque specification. Use this test point to verify the fastening mechanism of the child restraint system by pulling the belt then checking for automatic retraction when completely extended and retrieval back again. Any operation that requires different steps needs immediate replacement of the outer belt. To complete the process, install the center pillar garnish and side No. 1 trim assembly LH, front door scuff plate LH, rear seatback assembly LH and rear seat cushion assembly while performing initialization because selected vehicle systems need it after reconnecting the battery.
