How to remove and install the Front Seat Belt Assembly LH on 2007 Scion tC?

The first procedure when preparing to remove the Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly LH requires disconnecting the battery cable negative terminal then waiting 90 seconds to avoid triggering the Air Bag and seat belt pretensioners. After disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable you need to remove six main components including the Rear Seat Cushion Assembly together with the Rear Seatback Assembly LH and Front Door Scuff Plate LH and Side No. 1 Trim Assembly LH and Center Pillar Garnish LH. You must start by detaching the pretensioner connector and removing the bolt as well as floor anchor followed by removing 3 bolts and outer belt. Install the Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly LH through its 3 bolts while torquing bolt A to 4.9 N.m (50 kgf.cm, 43 in.lbf) and bolt B to 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf). Install the floor anchor with bolt C at 42 N.m (428 kgf.cm, 31 ft.lbf) torque level while reconnecting the pretensioner connector. Test the belt locking mechanism by pulling it fast and examine the child restraint system to verify automatic belt retraction during extension and belt release and retraction operations. Replace the outer belt whenever an operation does not meet specification requirements. The last installation step includes the Center Pillar Garnish LH with Side No. 1 Trim Assembly LH together with Front Door Scuff Plate LH and Rear Seatback Assembly LH and Rear Seat Cushion Assembly before reapplying the negative battery cable and initiating relevant systems which need cable disconnect.
