Special Service Tool: 09817-33190 should be used to remove the engine coolant temperature sensor along with the gasket after disconnecting the sensor connector. To install the sensor with a new gasket apply Special Service Tool: 09817-33190 while achieving sensor torque enforcement at 19.6 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf). The first step should be reconnecting the sensor connector followed by cable installation to the negative terminal. Engine coolant should be added followed by a leakage check along with system initialization that becomes necessary when repairing the cable between the negative battery terminal and disconnecting it.
