How to service and repair the front shock absorber with coil springs on 2006 Scion tC?

In order to replace coils and repair front shock absorber, the front wheel, wiper arms, and cowl top seal are to be removed. Unhook the stabilizer link and speed sensor. Take the shock absorber out, squeeze the coil spring and examine it. Assemble and reattach parts properly torqued and aligned. To dispose, lengthen the piston rod and expel the gas.
