    Q:
How to reassemble the rear shock absorber with coil spring on Scion tC? Posted by Customer
    A:
Before attaching the rear shock absorber and coil spring begin by squeezing the coil spring using Special Service Tools: 09727-30021 and 09727-00010. Using an impact wrench is forbidden because it can damage the equipment. Cable the coil spring onto the shock absorber by placing its lower section into the spring lower seat gap. Construct the installation by firstly hanging the No. 1 spring bumper LH and suspension support LH then inserting the coil spring insulator upper LH into the spring front bracket LH. Position the spring front bracket on the left-hand side with the coil spring insulator upper on both sides as shown in the illustration and make sure the right-hand side matches the left-hand side for symmetry. Next install the suspension support LH along with No. 1 shock absorber cushion washer followed by temporarily tightening a new center nut while using the Special Service Tool but removing it in between. The 6 mm hexagon wrench should be used to stabilize the piston rod as technicians tighten the nut to a correct torque value of 56 Nm (571 kgf-cm, 41 ft-lbf). The last step involves installing the cap onto the shock absorber.

    Q:
How to disassemble the rear shock absorber with coil spring on Scion tC? Posted by Customer

The disassembly requires removal of the No. 1 shock absorber cushion washer and subsequent components including the suspension support LH, spring front bracket LH, No. 1 shock absorber cushion and No. 1 spring bumper LH, coil spring insulator upper LH.
