Removing the front wheel, wiper arms, and cowl top seal is important to be able to replace the front shock absorber with coil spring. Unscrew the stabilizer link, speed sensor and flexible hose. To remove the shock absorber, remove the dust cover, loosen the lock nut and remove the upper and lower nuts and bolts.

Assembling the rear shock absorber again requires compressing the coil spring with Special Service Tools and not impact wrenches. Install coil spring, spring bumper, and suspension support and have to be symmetrical. Tighten the center nut to 56 Nm, and place the shock absorber cap.
