  • Q: How to replace the Yaw Sensor on 2005 Toyota Prius?
A: The installation procedure starts with console panel sub-assembly upper removal and subsequent removal of the console box pocket and console box carpet before proceeding to disconnect and remove console box assembly RR. The yaw rate sensor assembly removal begins by disconnecting its connector and removing two bolts securing it. The installation of the new yaw rate sensor requires using two bolts which need to be tightened to 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.) while reconnecting the yaw rate sensor assembly connector. The installation requires users to first reassemble the console box assembly RR followed by the console box carpet and console box pocket and console panel sub-assembly upper. The last procedure includes executing the yaw rate sensor zero point calibration while simultaneously checking and clearing any DTC.
