    A: The replacement of the Parking Brake Cable Assembly No. 1 starts with following side Air Bag safety precautions before disconnecting the negative battery terminal. The service requires removal of the instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly lower, instrument panel insert sub-assembly lower LH, instrument cluster finish panel assembly center, floor carpet cover center RH, floor carpet cover center LH, front seat assembly RH, front seat assembly LH, console box assembly, and front floor footrest. First separate the parking brake control pedal assembly followed by the parking brake cable assembly No. 1 through screwdriver claw disengagement of the assembly while preserving it and removing the clip on the parking brake pedal assembly together with lock nut and parking brake wire adjusting nut No. 1. Use the clip to install new parking brake cable assembly No. 1 before applying the temporary parking brake wire adjusting nut No. 1 with lock nut while completely bending the claw. Repair the parking brake control pedal assembly followed by front floor footrest then front LH seat assembly and finally front seat assembly LH. The rear wheel should be removed to readjust parking brake shoe clearance before reinstallation by applying 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm) torque to the wheel. Open the glove box, find the SRS warning light inspection points, full reset the SRS system, check and adjust the parking brake pedal control and reconnect the battery negative terminal.
