The replacement process starts by removing the fan and generator V belt followed by the generator assembly step and then disconnecting the cooler compressor assembly. The crankshaft position sensor installation begins by disconnecting its connector followed by unbolting the sensor. It is necessary to apply a thin engine oil layer onto the O-ring of the new crankshaft position sensor before installing it with the bolt while tightening it to 10 N.m (102 kgf.cm or 7 ft.lbf) specifications before reattaching the sensor connector. Dismount the cooler compressor assembly while reassembling both the generator assembly and fan and generator V belt. Reconnection and initialization should be performed on the negative battery terminal after putting back the cable according to system requirements.
