    A: Before starting the Side Air Bag Sensor Assy LH replacement you need to follow Air Bag system safety measures. Enable the battery disconnection at the negative terminal for 90 seconds to avoid Air Bag activation. The repair process begins with detachment of the front and rear door scuff plates, the front and rear door opening trim Weather Strips and the center pillar garnish lower. Start by disconnecting the connector of the front seat outer belt assembly along with the side Air Bag sensor assembly LH before nut removal. Begin assembly installation of the new side Air Bag sensor LH with the key off and lengthy disconnected negative battery terminal period of 90 seconds. Use 9.0 N.m (92 kgf.cm, 80 in.lbf) torque to secure the assembly while also inspecting the sensor for damage indicators. A replacement should be performed if the sensor dropped or shows signs of defect. Check that SRS wiring remains free from any wires obstruction then install the sensor connector.
