  A: The first step to replace the transmission control cable assembly (ATM) involves removing the console box rear cover then the console box carpet followed by console box assembly rear as well as exhaust pipe assembly front, front floor heat insulator No.1, and air cleaner assembly. The transmission control cable assembly must be removed through these steps: First detach the nut connecting it to the floor shift assembly; second disconnect it from the shift lever plate using a screwdriver; finally remove the 3 bolts and draw the assembly from the body. First remove the nut to sever its connection to the control shaft lever then undo the clip from the control cable bracket while completing the disconnect to the transmission control cable support.
