2005 Scion tC Mass Air Flow Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor on 2005 Scion tC?
A: The first procedure for replacing the Mass Air Flow Sensor involves disconnecting the battery negative terminal. You should disconnect the Mass Air Flow Sensor through both its connector separation and 2 screw removal. Insert the new Mass Air Flow Sensor by using its 2 screws while making sure the O-ring functions correctly during setup and then restore the Mass Air Flow Sensor connector. Complete the operation by connecting the battery negative terminal and tightening it to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf). The battery reconnection process should complete before you start the initializations for power windows and sliding roofs.
