It serves to uninstall the lower ball joint by using Special Service Tool: 09628-62011. The ball joint rotation condition should be checked by rotating the ball joint stud five times in each direction before torque application with a wrench operating at a steady rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn until the fifth turn measurement records 1.0 to 4.9 Nm (10 - 50 kgf-cm or 9 - 43 inch lbs.). Position the lower ball joint along with the nut before torquing it to 133 Nm (1,360 kgf-cm, 98 ft. lbs.) then add a fresh cotter pin; however, if the pin holes differ in alignment increase the nut torque to 60°. Install the steering knuckle together with the axle hub before testing the ABS speed sensor signal while conducting a front wheel alignment check.
