2003 Toyota Highlander Air Bag Sensor Parts Q&A
Q: How to replace the left side Air Bag front RH and Air Bag sensor front LH on 2003 Toyota Highlander?
A: Necessary safety steps and a battery negative terminal separation must occur prior to initiating front RH left side Air Bag and front LH Air Bag sensor replacement. Begin by ejecting the front Air Bag sensor LH through connector detachment and subsequent removal of its two securing bolts. Check the front LH Air Bag sensor after completion of the removal process. The installation of new front Air Bag sensor LH must be performed with the ignition switch OFF while keeping the negative terminal of the battery disconnected for 90 seconds post-removal. When installing the sensor snap in the bolts then tighten them to 20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) level before reconnecting its connector and checking for any loose connections. The SRS warning light must be inspected as the last step.
