2002 Toyota Highlander Air Bag Sensor Parts Q&A
Q: How to replace the right side Air Bag front RH and Air Bag sensor front LH on 2002 Toyota Highlander?
A: Begin the installation of right side Air Bag front RH and Air Bag sensor front LH by separation of the battery negative terminal and safety precautions. The Air Bag front RH sensor removal starts by disconnecting its connector followed by unscrewing the 2 bolts. The Air Bag front RH sensor requires a quality check after it is removed. The installation of the new right-side front Air Bag sensor requires both switch ignition OFF status and disconnected battery terminal maintained for a minimum of 90 seconds after extraction. Fasten the front Air Bag sensor RH to the chassis through 2 bolts that require torques of 20 N.m (200 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) followed by sensor connector connection and a play check on the sensor. The SRS warning light needs inspection in this last step.
