2003 Toyota Camry Yaw Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Yaw Sensor on 2003 Toyota Camry?
A: The first step to Yaw Rate Sensor replacement is uninstalling the console panel upper rear along with the rear console box. Remove the yawrate sensor connector before you loosen its two securing bolts. The new yawrate sensor installation requires two bolts which need to be placed through the holes while applying 12.5 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) torque before reconnecting the yawrate sensor connector. After installation of the console panel upper rear and the rear console box complete the process. The relevant testing and inspection procedures require performing both yawrate sensor zero point calibration and deceleration sensor zero point calibration.
