The first step for Knock Sensor replacement involves removing the cylinder head sub-assembly together with disconnecting the heater water inlet hose A. The next step involves taking off water outlet pipe N0.1 by first disconnecting wire harness clamps before using a tool to remove its bolt and 2 nuts. First disconnect the knock sensor connectors while unscrewing two bolts that will let you remove the two knock sensors. Install the 2 knock sensors by refitting them with their 2 bolts which should be torqued to 20 N.m (204 kgf.cm, 15 ft.lbf) before connecting the 2 knock sensor connectors. Secure N0.1 water outlet pipe by tightening bolts and 2 nuts to 9.0 N.m while securing the 4 wire harness clamps. The heater water inlet hose A needs to be reconnected before putting back the cylinder head sub-assembly.
