Begin by disconnecting both tie rod ends to the right and left hand side and the No. 2 intermediate shaft unit along with the clamp plate after bolt removal. Special Service Tool: 09023-12700 should be used to disconnect the pressure feed and return tubes. Begin Rack And Pinion assembly removal by first removing the bolt as well as nut and stud bolt from the bracket followed by extracting two set bolts and Rack And Pinion assembly along with nut and washer. Complete the removal by taking out both the bracket and grommet.
