Replace the bushings with new components by inserting Special Service Tool: 09710-28012 (09710-07062) and 09710-30041 (09710-03211), while using a suitable press tool for installation. The leaf spring replacement process begins with opening spring clips through bending and using chisel and hammer actions to lift the two clips before removing the center bolt and nut when holding the spring in a vise. The spring clip replacement requires drilling off the rivet head and using a press to drive it out after which you should install a new rivet to secure the clip with the press. Screw in the spring center bolt and nut through the leaf spring holes while placing the leaves in a vise before torquing these fasteners to 44 Nm (450 kgf-cm, 33 ft. lbs.). Use a hammer to reshape the spring clips into their original position. Installation of these components requires connecting the shackle and leaf spring with 3 bolts and washers and nuts together before stabilizing the suspension and torquing the bolts to 170 Nm (1,735 kgf-cm, 125 ft. lbs.). The assembly includes fitting the spring bumper together with spring seat and 2 U-bolts with 4 washers and nuts adjusted to 133 Nm (1,350 kgf-cm, 98 ft. lbs.) after establishing equal U-bolt lengths beneath the spring seat. Once finished install the rear wheel before torquing it to 110 Nm (1,150 kgf-cm, 83 ft. lbs.), after that remove the safety stands.
