Seal packing (Part No. 08826-00100 or equivalent) must be applied to water pump grooves using a nozzle with 2 - 3 mm (0.08 - 0.12 inch) opening diameter before assembly within a 5-minute period. Begin the installation by bolt-down the water pump with 7 bolts reaching a torque value of 20 Nm (200 kgf-cm, 14 ft. lbs.). Then proceed with the thermostat and water inlet installation. Water pumps equipped with oil coolers require you to connect their hose to the water pump before installing the timing belt. Secure the oil dipstick and guide at the generator bracket by placing a new O-ring on it and applying soapy water to meet installation requirements. Then drive the guide toward the oil pump hole and use a bolt to attach it before torquing the bolt to 8 Nm (80 kgf-cm, 70 inch lbs.).
