How to replace the Transmission Speed Sensor on 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder?

Begin the Transmission Speed Sensor replacement process by first taking off the front and rear engine under covers besides the filler plug. Strongly disadvantage the connector clamp and input sensor connector to gain access to the input sensor. The removal of two bolts should precede transmission case protector removal. A container should be positioned to collect any transmission oil which might leak during input sensor extraction. The new input sensor replacement should be installed while tightening the transmission case protector with 2 bolts at 11.5 Nm (117 kgf-cm, 8.5 ft-lbf). Reinstall the engine undercovers on the front and rear part of the vehicle and fill the transmission with the recommended oil type which is API GL-4 or GL-5 with SAE 75W-90 viscosity because some fluid was lost throughout the sensor replacement process. To complete the process reinstall the filler plug by torquing it to 39 Nm (400 kgf-cm, 29 ft-lbf) before verifying for any possible leaks.
