The service of rear speed sensor begins with disconnecting the connector after removing seat cushion and seatback and lower center garnish and rear door scuff plate and room partition trim. First disconnect the speed sensor connector and pull out the sensor wire harness with grommet before removing two clamp bolts which secure the sensor wire harness to the body and suspension shock absorber. Tighten these bolts to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.). After extracting the speed sensor from the axle carrier you need to use 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.) torque measurement. A torque tool should be used to remove the rear axle hub with a tightening force of 80 Nm (820 kgf-cm, 59 ft. lbs.). After remounting all components the signal of the speed sensor should be checked to ensure proper functioning.
