- Q: How to service and repair the throttle body on 2001 Toyota Camry?A: Start the throttle body repair and servicing by draining engine coolant followed by removing the air cleaner cap. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body and disconnect the throttle cable which belongs to automatic transmission cars. The throttle body removal process starts by disconnecting the throttle position sensor connector as well as the IAC valve connector and unsecured the two vacuum hoses from the throttle body. After disconnecting the throttle body from the intake manifold you must remove the three bolts along with the gasket. The complete removal of the throttle body requires users to detach the air hose together with the two water bypass hoses. The installation requires you to join the water bypass hose from the water bypass pipe along with connecting the water bypass hose from the water outlet to the throttle body. The installation requires a new gasket as well as bolt tightening at 19 N.m (195 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) for the three securing bolts. Return the throttle position sensor connector and two vacuum hoses along with the IAC valve connector.
