The first step for servicing and repairing the throttle body requires draining all engine coolant. Begin by taking off the accelerator cable followed by the throttle cable's disconnection during automatic transmission servicing. You should disconnect the PCV hose to access the air cleaner hose followed by loosening the 2 hose clamps prior to removing the hose. The removal process starts with disconnecting all components connected to the throttle body including the throttle position sensor connector and the IAC valve connector and the water bypass hose connections to both the intake manifold and the water inlet housing and the air assist hose. Unbolt the 2 pieces and detach 2 nuts while removing the EGR gas temperature sensor bracket and throttle body along with its gasket. A fresh gasket should be installed onto the air intake chamber and torque to 19.5 Nm (200 kg.cm, 14 ft.lb) torque specification. The installation process should reverse the steps used for removal.
