2001 Toyota Camry Fuel Pressure Regulator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the Fuel Pressure Regulator for Type A and Type B on 2001 Toyota Camry?
A: The service and repair process for the Fuel Pressure Regulator of Type A and Type B starts with fuel pump assembly removal from the fuel tank. Begin by removing the fuel filter screw before pulling it out along with extracting its O-ring. Apply gasoline onto a new O-ring which should be torqued to 2.0 N.m (20 kgf.cm, 17 in.lbf) using a light coating. Unscrew and pull out the fuel pressure regulator while you eliminate its O-ring from the pressure regulator. You should use a light gasoline coating on the new O-ring before installation then torque it to 2.0 N.m (20 kgf.cm, 17 in.lbf). When installing new hardware the steps run in contrary direction to how items are removed.
