• Q: How to service and repair fuel injectors on 2001 Toyota Camry?

  A: One must begin fuel injector maintenance by taking off the cylinder head cover after unclamping the 4 high-tension cords from both cover and spark plugs while detaching the PCV hose attached to the intake manifold and cylinder head cover. A clean cloth should cover the cylinder head before unclamping the engine wire at the No.2 timing belt cover mounting bolt during cylinder head cover removal. Start by disconnecting the delivery pipe and injectors through 4 injector connector removal along with the removal of 2 bolts holding the delivery pipe to the cylinder head and delivery pipe disconnection from 4 injectors followed by a slow extraction of the 4 injectors without dropping them. The cylinder head requires removal of its two spacers followed by removal of the two O-rings, insulator and grommet present in each injector. The installation process starts by adding a new grommet to each injector and applying gasoline to a new O-ring that will go on the injector before installation. Finally, place the 2 spacers and 4 new insulators onto the cylinder head. You should install the delivery pipe injectors while rotating them left and right and position their connectors in the upward direction.
