How to remove and inspect a coil springs and shock absorber on 2001 Toyota 4Runner?

In order to disassemble the coil spring, have the rear axle in position, take off the wheel and the parking brake cable bracket. Loosen the shock absorber and stabilizer bar bracket and drop axle to loosen coil spring. Check the shock absorber and take care when disposing the gas-filled ones. Reinstall in reverse order.
