Start sway bar kit servicing by removing the front wheels of both sides while tightening the nuts to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft. lbs.). The service and repair requires removing both left and right sway bar links by unfastening four nuts at 39 Nm (400 kgf.cm, 29 ft. lbs.) and replacing their links before reinstalling. A 5 mm hexagon wrench must be used to retain the stud whenever the ball joint rotates with the nut. Remove the left and right brackets and bushings through the removal of 4 bolts and 2 brackets and bushings while tightening to 19 Nm (195 kgf.cm, 14 ft. lbs.). When adding the bushing to the sway bar kit positioning it must be placed inside the bushing. To keep the pressure feed tube safe remove the sway bar kit from the left-hand side of the vehicle. Inspect the ball joint on the sway bar link through its study by rotating the stud 5 times forward and backward before nut installation. Turn the nut at a steady rate each 2 - 4 seconds with a torque wrench to obtain the fifth turn measurement at a screw torque between 0.05 and 1.0 Nm (0.5 to 10 kgf.cm or 0.4 to 8.7 inch lbs.). The procedure for installation follows an inverse sequence to how removal was accomplished.
