2000 Toyota Camry Fan Motor Parts Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Fan Motor for Radiator Cooling on 2000 Toyota Camry?
A: The procedure for radiator cooling fan motor repair starts with No.1 cooling fan removal after disconnecting three relays and releasing three connectors and securing the two holding bolts at 5.0 Nm (50 kgf.cm, 44 inch lbs. torque). The service protocol calls for draining engine coolant before progressing to separate the No.2 cooling fan and disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator along with cooling fan connector removal and 3 bolts securing the cooling fan with a torque of 5.0 Nm (50 kgf.cm, 44 inch lbs.). Disassembly of the TMC Made No.1 cooling fan begins with untightening a nut and removing the fan followed by lead wire disconnection from the fan shroud and 3 screw removal of the fan motor. The disassembly of TREK Made No.1 cooling fan starts with fan clip removal and access to the fan component while avoiding motor shaft damage and preventing scratches. This allows access to the fan motor and lead wire disconnect from the fan shroud and three mounting screw removal. The TMC Made No.2 cooling fan demands the same steps of nut and fan removal followed by disconnecting the lead wire from the fan shroud along with removal of the 3 screws and fan motor. When handling the TUSK Made No.2 cooling fan also separate the clip and fan while taking care to protect the motor shaft and disconnect that lead wire from the fan shroud followed by removal of the 3 screws and fan motor. The reassembly follows the same process in reverse order as was used for disassembly but in the opposite direction.
