The service and repair of the A/C Accumulator begins by draining refrigerant from the system followed by vacuuming the air from the system before adding 700 plus or minus 50 g (24.69 plus or minus 1.76 oz.) of refrigerant material while conducting a leak inspection process. Begin by taking out the coolant reservoir and air cleaner case and disconnect the two liquid tubes through removing their two bolts which should be tightened to 10 Nm (100 kg.cm, 7 ft.lb) before using sealed fittings to secure the open ends of the system from moisture or dirt intrusion. Apply compressor oil to two new O-rings prior to inserting them into place. After removing the holder bolt the A/C accumulator can be pulled out while adding 10 cc (0.34 fl.oz.) of ND - OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil if you are replacing the A/C accumulator. The procedure of installation occurs backward from removal stages.

Before servicing the A/C accumulator technicians must begin with refrigerant discharge from the system then evacuate the air while charging it with 600 + 50 g (21.16 + 1.76 oz.) refrigerant followed by leak inspection. Disconnection of the liquid tube between the A/C accumulator and cooling unit should begin by removing its bolt while ensuring it reaches 6.0 N.m (60 kgf.cm, 52 in.lbf) torque level then sealing the open fittings with caps to avoid contamination from moisture or dirt. The procedure begins by uninstalling the liquid tube between A/C accumulator and condenser through nut loosening at 14 N.m (140 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf) to disconnect it before removing both tubes at 6.0 N.m (60 kgf.cm, 52 in.lbf). The open fittings must be capped during this process. Three new O-rings must receive compressor oil lubrication before their installation process. To continue the process you must detach the A/C accumulator from its holder through bolt removal and lifting it upward. When replacing the A/C accumulator it requires 20 cc (0.71 fl.oz.) of ND-OIL 8 or equivalent compressor oil to be added inside. The set up process follows the exact opposite sequence of the disassembly procedures.

The first step in servicing and repairing the A/C Accumulator involves discharging the refrigerant from the refrigeration system after evacuating air and then charging the system with exact amounts of 600 plus or minus 50 g (21.16 plus or minus 1.76 oz.) for Access Cab and Standard Cab. You must disconnect the liquid tubes from the A/C accumulator by removing its two bolts while torquing them to 5.4 N.m precisely (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf) before you immediately place caps on the open fittings to stop moisture and dirt from entering the system. A technician should use compressor oil to prepare two new O-rings before inserting them onto the tubes. The holder bolt requires removal to access the downward pull of the A/C accumulator yet the oil addition (20 cc) of ND-OIL 8 or equal to the compressor should be performed before new A/C accumulator installation. Remove the bolt and holder before reversing the previous steps to reinstall the components.

Lubricate two new O-rings with compressor oil before installing them onto the tubes.

Remove the bolt and holder, and follow the reverse order of removal for installation.
