The initial step for installing new name plates or emblems involves heating the vehicle body as well as name plates or emblems under a heat light while being cautious to avoid overheating them. After vehicle heat application to body and emblem proceed with taking off the release paper from the emblem while maintaining the exposed adhesive area clean before performing the emblem installation as illustrated. The same steps of cleaning and heating should be performed before installing the No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate alongside the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate and No. 1 back door name plate and No. 3 luggage compartment door name plate. In both the S plate and XRS plate applications technical standards for installation remain in effect.

A heat light should be used first to heat the vehicle body and name plate while avoiding overheating either element. Begin with the No. 7 luggage compartment door name plate by first wrapping protective tape around it and then mounting a piano wire between the name plate and the vehicle body before tying handles to both ends of the wire for scraping off the double-sided tape. When removing the plate and body keep safe from any potential damage. Continue this operation for the No. 3 and No. 2 luggage compartment door name plates. You should clean both the vehicle body surface and name plate (if you want to reuse it) through heating it under a heat light before removing double-sided tape residue from them. Healthy installation of the name plate demands fresh double-sided tape followed by heating up the vehicle body and name plate while also gently removing the release paper because any foreign matter should stay off the exposed adhesive.

Take care not to damage the name plate or the vehicle body if reusing it.

Begin with the No. 2 luggage compartment door name plate.

Repeat the process by applying protective tape to the back door panel, passing a piano wire between the vehicle body and the name plate, and using wooden blocks as handles to scrape off the tape before removing the name plate.

Follow the same cleaning and installation procedure as for the No. 3 name plate, ensuring the surface is clean and the ambient temperature is suitable.

Clean the surface, heat the adhesive tape, remove it, and clean with a non-residue solvent before inserting the 2 pins and installing the emblem.

Apply protective tape, insert a piano wire between the back door outside garnish and name plate, tie handles to the wire ends, and pull the wire to remove the name plate without damaging the garnish.

The working environment should be at 20 degrees C during installation.

Heat the installation area of the body to between 20 to 30 degrees C before proceeding with the installation.

Take care not to damage the rear door panel.

Heat both the vehicle body and name plate again, then remove the release paper from the name plate.

Remove the 2 screws and the radiator grille name plate retainer, followed by disengaging 2 claws to remove the No. 2 radiator grille emblem.

Remove it by taking out 2 screws.

For those without fog lights, simply disengage the 6 claws.

First, heat both the vehicle body and the name plate using a heat light, ensuring not to overheat them.

Above 20°C; if not, heat the surfaces accordingly.

Remove 2 screws, then disengage 2 claws to remove the No. 2 radiator grille emblem.

Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal with a torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf).
