The first step to serve the Air Bag Control Module requires checking all Supplemental Restraint System warnings fully. The negative battery terminal cable should be disconnected for 90 seconds to stop the Air Bag system from activating. The first step to service an Air Bag Control Module requires users to remove the shift lever knob sub-assembly, followed by the upper console panel sub-assembly, the console box assembly and the console box front. The next step involves disassembly of console box duct No.1. After pulling out the holder with connectors from the center Air Bag sensor assembly you can unscrew its three bolts.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal and wait for 90 seconds to prevent the airbag from deploying.
