The very first step to remove the Air Bag Control Module and Center Air Bag Sensor Assembly involves disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal while waiting at least 90 seconds to prevent the Air Bag from deploying. The first step requires removal of the Console Upper Rear Panel Sub-Assembly which applies to Automatic and Manual Transmission on Separate Seat Type. Then proceed to take out the Rear Console Box Assembly intended for Separate Seat Type. The next step involves removing the Instrument Panel Cup Holder Tray for Automatic Transmission on Separate Seat Type before extracting the Front Console Box for both Automatic and Manual Transmission on Separate Seat Type and for both Automatic and Manual Transmission on Bench Seat Type. Remove the holder along with its connectors from the Center Air Bag Sensor Assembly then detach the 3 assembly retaining bolts.
