The procedure for front power seat motor assembly removal from the rear lifter begins by taking out the front seat assembly. First disconnect the reclining power seat switch knob together with the slide & vertical power seat switch knob. You need to begin by taking away the front seat cushion shield LH and front inner No. 1 seat cushion shield LH before proceeding with removal of the front power seat switch LH. The next procedure requires removal of the front seat inner belt assembly LH and the front seat cushion inner shield LH. Next follow the process of removing the separate type front seat cushion cover together with its pad. The front power seat motor assembly requires disconnecting 3 wire harness clamps as well as 2 additional wire harness clamps for removal. In the provided illustration there are four clamps marked by arrows that require removal before pulling out the seat cushion spring. Proceed to uninstall the seat cushion frame together with its four bolts before moving onto the subsequent steps. A T40 "TORX" socket wrench should be used to remove the 3 "TORX" bolts securing the tilt rod before extracting the rod. The adjust screw requires removal after disconnecting its connector through the use of a T40 "TORX" socket wrench which removes its "TORX" bolt. The last step involves removing 2 bolts through the use of a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench. Before taking the motor unit out of the car you must unlock the adjust screw from its uppermost or lowermost position then turn the screw to unlock it.

The FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Rear Lifter) can be installed with 2 4 mm socket hexagon wrench bolts tightened to 4.0 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf). When using the "TORX" bolt for the adjust screw apply non-residue solvent to its threads following equipment reuse. After solvent application use Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324 or Three Bond 1324 or equivalent on the threads before installing the bolt with T40 "TORX" socket wrench at 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18.4 ft-lbf). The connector should be connected after installing the tilt rod with two "TORX" bolts through a T40 "TORX" socket wrench until they reach 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18.4 ft-lbf). Install the adjust screw "TORX" bolt after applying cleaning followed by Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324 or equivalent to the threads then install the bolt through a T40 "TORX" socket wrench and torque it to 25 Nm (255 kgf-cm, 18.4 ft-lbf). The seat cushion frame needs four bolts torqued to 19 Nm (194 kgf-cm, 14 ft-lbf) while you attach 4 seat cushion spring clamps before adding 2 and 3 wire harness clamps according to their indicated positions. The installation process starts with attaching the SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD followed by insertion of the FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH and the FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH. The FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH and FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH must be installed alongside the SLIDE & VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB and the RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB. The last step involves placing the FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY before doing safety checks on the warning light and verifying correct functionality of the assembly.

First, remove the front seat assembly.
