You need to connect the cooling fan motor for 2ZR-FE by using three screws as the first step. Fasten the fan by installing its nut while applying a torque force of 6.3 Nm (64 kgf-cm, 56 in-lbf). Beginning with the installation of fan shroud follow with radiator assembly then upper radiator support sub-assembly and finally No. 1 cooler cover. The hood lock assembly installation should be followed by connecting both the No. 2 radiator hose and automatic transaxle's outlet No. 1 oil cooler hose and inlet No. 2 oil cooler hose. Install the air cleaner assembly before fixing the radiator support upper absorber together with the front bumper cover followed by the No. 1 radiator hose connection. Shortly after coolant addition inspect the vehicle for leakages. Installation of the engine under cover should be performed starting from RH then LH with possible adjustments to the hood lock assembly.

Service and repair of the Radiator Cooling Fan Motor starts with draining the engine coolant and disconnecting the upper radiator hose from the radiator component. The service of Radiator Cooling Fan Motor starts when you detach the upper radiator support and cooling fan by disconnecting the cooling fan connector and reservoir hose then remove the 3 bolts securing the cooling fan. The disassembly process starts with taking out the fan motor after unscrewing its 3 screws and then removing the fan together with the nut. When reinstalling the fan motor attach it with the 3 screws while torqueing it to 2.65 Nm (27 kgf-cm, 23 inch lbs.) when A/C is on or 3.98 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 inch lbs.) when A/C is off. Install the fan after fitting it with a nut and tighten it to 6.4 Nm (66 kgf-cm, 57 inch lbs.). To install the cooling fan use three bolts while torquing them to 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 inch lbs.) then connect the cooling fan connector. Prior to engine operation users need to connect the upper radiator hose to the radiator and install the radiator upper support before filling the system with engine coolant then checking for any leaks while the engine is running.

Before removing the Radiator Cooling Fan Motor turn off the ignition because unexpected operation of electric cooling fans might occur. Begin by draining the coolant. First unfasten the engine under covers from both sides before proceeding to take off the front bumper cover. The radiator support upper absorber and the air cleaner assembly need to be unscrewed from their positions. The first step should include disconnecting the No. 1 radiator hose followed by the inlet No. 2 oil cooler hose followed by the outlet No. 1 oil cooler hose followed by the No. 2 radiator hose. First remove the hood lock assembly then remove both the No. 1 cooler cover and finally remove the upper radiator support sub-assembly. Next proceed to extract the radiator assembly together with the fan shroud and stand aside. The removal of the fan requires you to first remove its retaining nut and then separate the fan. The cooling fan motor operation requires the removal of its 3 screws followed by motor extraction.

Remove the engine under covers on both the left and right sides.

Begin by securing it with the 3 screws.

Disconnect the upper radiator hose from the radiator, then remove the upper radiator support.

Use a torque of 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 inch lbs.) to attach the cooling fan with the 3 bolts.

Reconnect the upper radiator hose to the radiator, install the radiator upper support, fill with engine coolant, and finally start the engine to check for coolant leaks.

Torque the fan motor to 2.65 Nm (27 kgf-cm, 23 inch lbs.) with A/C or 3.98 Nm (41 kgf-cm, 35 inch lbs.) without A/C.

Remove the No. 1 cooling fan by taking off the nut.

Install the No. 1 cooling fan with the nut at a torque of 6 Nm (65 kgf-cm, 55 inch lbs.) and the No. 2 cooling fan with the three screws at a torque of 4 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 inch lbs.).

Install the No. 2 cooling fan using three bolts torqued to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 45 inch lbs.) and connect the No. 2 cooling fan connector.

Begin by removing the No. 1 cooling fan, which involves taking off the LH engine under cover, disconnecting the upper radiator hose, removing the radiator reservoir, and disconnecting both the No. 1 and No. 2 cooling fan connectors before removing the two bolts securing the No. 1 cooling fan assembly.
