    Q:
How to install the intake manifold and its associated components on Toyota Highlander? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for installing the intake manifold requires fitting the intake air control valve actuator to the TCV. You should install the engine mounting damper by tightening 3 bolts to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm and 80 in-lbf). Secure the wiring harness clamp bracket by installing a bolt that needs a torque of 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). Secure two vacuum hoses on the intake manifold while correctly placing the check valve for installation. The installation process requires closing tumble control valves first to keep them safe before applying a new gasket to the intake manifold. Tighten the 6 bolts on the intake manifold according to the specified order while applying 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf) torque and then finish by connecting the intake air control actuator connector and affixing 2 clamps between the intake manifold and bracket. Place the wire harness first and tighten the fastener to 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf) before setting the wire harness bracket with a second bolt secured to the same torque. Users must connect the fuel vapor feed hose with the vacuum hose and clamp and connector and install the two wire harness brackets with two bolts torqued to 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf). The connectors and wire harnesses should be connected after all hardware installation. The next step involves fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly setup before adding the No. 1 vacuum switching valve assembly. Attach the union to both the connector tube hose and No. 2 ventilation hose which leads to the intake manifold. By using the appropriate tools install the vacuum switching valve assembly for ACIS along with a bolt that must reach 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf) torque value followed by connecting 2 vacuum hoses with 2 union to connector tube hoses, clamps, and connector. After connecting the heater water hoses you should set the throttle body assembly into place. Reinstallation of the battery cable at the negative terminal should be done with caution since some systems need initialization before connection while you should inspect for fuel leaks.
