The first task in servicing the sedan outer mirror switch requires disconnecting the battery cable from the negative terminal. The instrument panel box installation should be followed by outer mirror switch detachment which requires disconnection of the connector while releasing the two claws. Installation of the outer mirror switch requires you to connect the connector and engage the two claws. Reinstall the instrument panel box after you reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal but only tighten it to 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf).
