The roadside installation of the stop light switch for the sedan starts with placing the switch onto the adjuster so it barely reaches the brake pedal while it remains uncompressed then complete the quarter clockwise rotation to lock it into position without hitting the brake. It is necessary to set the installation turning torque at 1.5 Nm (15 kgf-cm, 13 in-lb or less). Post-installation tests must check the stop light switch clearance with parameters ranging from 0.5 millimeters to 2.6 millimeters (0.020 to 0.102 inches). Fasten the stop light switch connector to its electrical position on the switch. Later, install the instrument panel under cover sub-assembly LH. Attach the cable by tightening it to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) using the negative battery terminal.
