How to service the front Door Jamb Switch for the hatchback on Toyota Yaris?

Removing the negative battery terminal is required in order to service the front door courtesy switch. You need to remove the required scuff plates and weather strips and afterwards, remove the switch with a T30 Torx wrench. Install the switch and components once more, making sure that they are well torqued together and reconnect the battery terminal.
