Secure the rear strut rod assembly to the rear axle carrier sub-assembly temporarily by using bolt and nut installation. Do this while making sure the identification mark stays inside the vehicle and gently fastening the bolt because of the stopper nut. Position the assembly at the tightening 9 degrees 54' (9.9) angle and set the bolt 83.9 millimeters away from the stopping point before tightening it to reach 80 Nm (816 kgf-cm, 59ft-lbf). Temporarily install the parts using the bolt and nut. Then attach the Special Service Tool 09961-00950 and use a 17mm socket wrench to tighten the bolt to 59Nm with the tool or 80 Nm without it while pressing the stopper nut. Do this using a torque wrench with a 425mm (1.39 ft.) fulcrum which must remain parallel to the wrench. You should follow the same beginning procedures for AWD by setting the rear strut rod assembly to the tightening position at 9.04 degrees with 3.08 inches standard length and torquing the bolt to standard values. Fasten the No. 3
Parking Brake Cable assembly with its bolt at 6.0 Nm torque with no cable twisting. Lower the car to floor level and bounce the corners to stabilize the suspension before tightening the rear wheel at 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76ft-lbf).
