The Toyota Starter Brush is a carbon contact that supplies current to the starter armature, which provides reliable cranks even in cold weather. Toyota was founded in 1937 and its production system distinguishes itself by reducing wastage and allowing workers to fix problems on the production line which has resulted in cars that are durable and which people can rely on. Even when changing a Starter Brush, park in a safe place and unscrew the battery and then clean the engine bay by removing the starter. Put the Starter Brush on a bench, raise the end cover, record positions of brushes, and loosen springs. Slide out of worn brushes, blow off the commutator, and place in the same slots with leads running in the original direction, the new Starter Brush pieces. Check free movement of each brush and the springs press firmly. Install the cover again, reattach the starter, reconnect all cables, fit in battery and crank the engine making sure smooth cranking with no additional sparks.
