Ensure the new knock sensor receives a torque of 20 N.m (199 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf) when installing it with the nut. It is advised to mount the sensor at an angle under 0 degrees below horizontal. The first step involves connecting the sensor connector before you put on a new gasket along with the intake manifold by tightening 5 bolts and 2 nuts to 30 N.m (306 kgf.cm, 22 ft.lbf).
