The first step in front differential oil seal (U151E) replacement requires wheel removal together with engine under cover No.1. Drain the automatic transaxle fluid through the drain plug removal process before reinstalling a new gasket along with the drain plug and torquing it to 49 Nm (500 kgf-cm, 36 ft. lbs.). The following service requires removal of front
Drive Shaft assemblies from both right-hand and left-hand sides before using special service tool: 09308-00010 to extract the transaxle housing oil seal. The same tool enables removal of the differential side bearing retainer oil seal. Use special service tool: 09316-60011 (09316-00011) and a hammer to install the new transaxle housing oil seal with a drive-in depth between 0 plus or minus 0.5 mm (0 plus or minus 0.020 inch) while applying MP grease to the lip. Apply this sequence to fit the differential side bearing retainer oil seal using special service tool: 09223-15020, 09950-70010 (09951-07150) and a hammer by maintaining similar drive-in depth while applying grease. The front drive shaft assembly LH and RH assembly must be reinstalled first and then the front wheels should be installed before torque application to 103 Nm (1,050 kgf-cm, 76 ft. lbs.). Perform and check the fluid level of the automatic transaxle before reinstalling engine under cover No.1. Perform a signal inspection of the ABS speed sensor both for ABS with EBD system and ABS with EBD & BA & TRAC VSC & system.
