In order to service the front strut assembly, discard front LH shock absorber. Push the piston rod to its full length then cut a hole into the cylinder to release the gas being careful of the chips. It is colorless, odorless and not poisonous.

The rear shock absorber should be removed by removing the rear wheel and deck parts first. Lift behind the axle using a jack and take off the shock absorber head cover, nuts and bolt.
